27th March 2010 - A Hard Days Night Fundraising at Vanilla Lounge
It was Beatles-mania at Vanilla Lounge in Hoylake on Saturday night with a 12 hour live music marathon held in aid of the Day Care Appeal.
Various acoustic bands played hits from the fab four from midday and guests were treated to a fantastic evenings performance by a Paul McCartney tribute. Donations were kindly given throughout the event and a raffle was held too, raising £400 in total.

11th Nov 2009 - Dukes Estate Backed by Benitez
Liverpool Football Club Manager Rafa Benitez joined his wife Montse for a wine-tasting event in aid of the Day Care Appeal. The event took place at the home of the Duke of Westminster at Eaton Hall, Chester and, as in previous years, was a success. Attended by 135 guests, more than £2800 was raised, partly through a raffle for a diamond and gold necklace donated by Boodles. Rafa’s wife Montse, who is Chair of the Hoylake Cottage Social Committee, helped organise the event. She said, “It was a fabulous occasion made possible by the generosity of lots of supporters of Hoylake Cottage.”

10th October 2009 - Wirral Supporter Walks the Great Wall
Tony Collins, 39, from Wallasey completed the mammoth challenge of eight days of walking and climbing as part of a guided group to raise funds for the day care appeal. After walking across desert, grasslands and mountains Tony said: “The whole experience was amazing, I was just gobsmacked the whole time.”
